Rhythm Becomes Structure.

RIIITMO is a wooden dining table where rhythm becomes structure and detail. At its core, a cluster of closely spaced legs forms the main load-bearing spine: a sequence of vertical elements placed side by side that supports the table and defines its visual signature. The legs at the outer edges of the cluster also act as supports for the tabletop, which is not a single slab but a frame made from four solid-wood boards joined with dovetail joints and assembled around the central core. From above, the table reads as two layers at once: the clean geometry of the four boards on the perimeter, and the “texture” of the legs emerging at the center—turning construction into identity and structure into decoration.

RIIITMO è un tavolo in legno in cui il ritmo diventa struttura e dettaglio. Il cuore del progetto è un nucleo di gambe ravvicinate: una sequenza di elementi portanti affiancati che sostiene il tavolo e ne definisce il segno. Le gambe alle estremità del nucleo fungono anche da appoggio per il piano, che non è un’unica lastra ma una cornice composta da quattro tavole in massello unite con giunzioni a coda di rondine, montate attorno alla struttura centrale. Dall’alto si leggono due livelli: la geometria pulita delle quattro tavole sul perimetro e, al centro, la “trama” delle gambe—tecnica costruttiva che diventa identità e decorazione.
