No walls. Only furniture.

A Livorno apartment redesigned around a radical decision: remove every internal wall that isn’t structurally necessary. Only the bathroom walls remain — and even those were moved, reducing the bathroom footprint to gain surface in the living area.
Every other division in the apartment is defined by bespoke joinery. The entrance flows directly into the living space. The living area connects to the corridor through an opening in the main storage wall — visible in the render as the door to the left of the TV unit. The corridor leads to the bedroom through a second opening in the same wall.
The bedroom is anchored by a bridge wardrobe that spans the full width of the room and serves two sides simultaneously: accessible from the corridor for the wardrobe section, and from the bedroom for the built-in unit housing the washing machine and storage. One piece of furniture, two rooms, two functions.
The result is an apartment that feels significantly larger than its floor plan — because the space flows continuously, and every dividing element earns its place by doing more than one thing. The curved ceiling plane, backlit with a continuous LED profile, reinforces the absence of walls: even above, the space flows without interruption.

Un appartamento a Livorno riprogettato attorno a una decisione radicale: eliminare ogni muro interno non strutturalmente necessario. Rimangono solo i muri del bagno — anch’essi spostati per ridurre la superficie del bagno a favore del living.
Ogni altra divisione dell’appartamento è definita da arredo su misura. L’ingresso confluisce direttamente nel living. Il living si connette al corridoio attraverso un’apertura nella parete attrezzata principale — visibile nel render come la porta a sinistra del mobile TV. Il corridoio porta alla camera attraverso una seconda apertura nella stessa parete.
La camera è ancorata da un armadio a ponte che occupa tutta la larghezza della stanza e serve due lati contemporaneamente: accessibile dal corridoio per la parte guardaroba, e dalla camera per la parete attrezzata che ospita la lavatrice e il contenitore. Un unico elemento, due stanze, due funzioni.
Il risultato è un appartamento che sembra significativamente più grande della sua planimetria — perché lo spazio scorre in continuità, e ogni elemento divisorio guadagna il suo posto svolgendo più di una funzione. Il controsoffitto curvato, retroilluminato con una striscia LED continua, rafforza l’assenza di muri: anche in alto, lo spazio scorre senza interruzione.
